Summer Tutoring Program
What will the students learn?
The summer tutoring program consists of eight- 50 minute classes. Each class will review previous year standards in math and language arts and will introduce students to standards that will be taught in the upcoming school year. Since, our tutors are current teachers, we have insured the standard currently being taught are aligned with the Department of Education. Currently, we are using the Florida Department of Education Standards. How will the class run?
Classes are held on-line using the Zoom platform. Students will be grouped by age level. There will be a maximum of 6 students per class. The class will consist of approximately 30 minutes of math and 20 minutes of reading comprehension strategies and vocabulary. The class is very interactive, allowing the students to participate and ask questions.
